Swetsville Zoo in Timnath, CO |
|
The Swetsville Zoo is not your typical zoo. It doesn't have any live animals, but is has many fantastic metal fantasy creatures. Bill Swets, the owner of the zoo, has been creating his sculptures for over 20 years. The zoo is open to the public, admission is free and donations are welcome. The zoo has fantasy vehicles, flowers, aliens, dinosaurs and creatures that we can pose with. Remember not to touch any of the sculptures, we don't want to damage anything. There are no facilities, but there is a picnic table if you want to take a break. The light will be a challenge because the cottonwoods provide open shade throughout the zoo. Photographers might want to bring a screen to shade the models so they have more even light. |
